The intent of this site is to provide access to the City of White Plains meeting materials in a timely and searchable fashion.

Also please note that since this site is intendeded for research, and not as an official record, obvious errors have been corrected and we have tried for consistancy across the files. For example; names such as Odina Maddox have been changed to Odinga Maddox, Donelan to Donnellan, and one year to one-year.
The first page lists the various councils, boards, and budgets, and the meeting dates for which material is available. Clicking on a link will bring up the corresponding agenda, minutes, or budget.

If backup material is available for an agenda item, the item number will be displayed as a link, and clicking on it will bring up a copy of the material.

If the backup material for an item has more than one page, there will be a small navigation menu at the top and bottom of each page so that you can move between pages.
The 'Back' link of this menu will return you to the previous index page.
The 'Budget', 'Charter', and 'Environmental' links will bring you to content pages similar to the ones displayed for agendas.
The 'Excel' link will download an .xls file of summary budget items.

Hitting 'Home' at the top of the screen will return you to the initial agenda selection page.
Hitting 'Search' at the top of the screen will bring up a search box.
Hitting 'Calendar' at the top of the screen will take you to www.WPNY.us and display a calendar of local events.
Hitting 'Meeting Dates' at the top of the screen will bring up a table showing the normal meeting dates for the various board and commissions.
Some pages will have a print button that will print the page without the extra adornment.
For example, entering something like bonds, will list all of the agenda items that mention the word bonds. Entering north community will list all items referring to things like -- North Street Community LLC, or Slater Community Center north of Post Road. Case is ignored for searches. If multiple terms are entered, the system will search for items containing ALL of the terms which must be within 100 characters of each other. Preceding a term with a ~ will search for items that DO NOT contain the term; for example, north ~street will find items containing north, but not containing street. To search for a phase, enclose it in quotes like "north street" LLC; which will search for north immediately followed by street and within 100 characters of llc.
Selecting 'search minutes instead of agendas' does just that. It allows you to search a transcribed version of the backup material and any transcribed comments (comments by the public are not transcribed). A match on the minutes will return all the material relating to that item, which can be quite lengthy. Minutes are not available until 3 or 4 months after the meeting. Searching the agenda, searches the one sentence agenda item titles. These are usually available 4 days prior to the meeting. The backup material, available at the same time, is scaned as images, and, therefore, is not searchable. The agenda is updated after the meeting to reflect voting results.
Since the amount of material contained in the various budgets and ordinances is quite large, they are not included in the search unless you check 'include budgets and ordinances'.
To summerize: 'Agenda' searches provide access to the most current data and the results are easy to review; however, you can not search for text appearing in the backup materials such as a resolution section. 'Minutes' searches allow you to search the backup materials; but, they are not as current, and the results are lengthy and not as easy to review, as the agenda searches.
